Life's a Beach.....

My gf T and I went to the beach with our boys. C is 6 weeks older than G, they are not that into playing with each other yet but we still had a ton of fun. G was all about the sand. He was covered, he enjoyed scooping the sand and dumping it into the bucket. It was great....it kept him so busy. C on the other hand loved the water, he was like a little fish, he had no fear. T could hardy keep up with C in the water. I think he almost drank the whole lake...lol. G went in the water and did awesome but I think he is still a little timid.

This is the first time I took G to the beach. We went to FL last year but he was only 4 months old. It's so different having a 1 year old at the beach. I remember B.C. (before child) I would read a book, relax in the sun and go for a dip whenever I wanted to. It was so much easier keeping sand off our blankets then too. As soon as I laid our blanket down, I had two boys with sandy feet climbing all over it. Every time I would brush the sand off G, he would be covered again in seconds. And what about snack time, I would give G a cracker and some how it would become a sand covered cracker... and the kicker - he would eat it....argh. At first I have to admit I was a little frustrated but quickly I told myself to relax and just go with it. Boys will be boys and we went there so they could have fun, it's not about me anymore. So if he doesn't care about the sand in his hair or on his cracker why should I freak out??? Once I realized this I let myself chill out and enjoy the day to the fullest.

Here are some pics of our day...please excuse my bathing suit. My (.)'s look like they are about to pop out of my top. I probably need to go somewhere they let you mix and match...I obviously need a different size top and bottom....lol!






G would not let me help him with his yogurt. I just had to make sure he didn't scoop up sand too...
