We have a guest bedroom again....

Today we broke down the girls beds and took them and their dressers to their house. Once the room was pretty much empty I steam cleaned the carpet. I also wiped down the walls. Near Ts' bed she wrote 'I hate this house and can't wait to go home', it didn't hurt my feelings b/c she says that daily. I just took a wipey to it and it came off. Since we painted the room shortly before they moved in the walls were not that bad. I should touch them up but I'm too lazy. A and I dragged the queen bed back up from the basement. I put some fresh sheets on it and the girls are sleeping in it as I type.
It was a little difficult putting them to bed. It's difficult when they have their own beds let alone now having to share a bed. I kept hearing 'Auntie D, she's kicking me' or Auntie D, she keeps talking....I can't sleep'...argh. I finally had to threaten to separate them. I just have to keep reminding myself that we only have 10 days left.
A and I also cleaned the den. The den is where the girls spent a lot of their time watching TV or playing with their Brat dolls. We found gum stuck to the the carpet, candy wrappers under the couch, Desitin open and smeared on the wall ?? don't get that one but oh well, it's clean now. I'm going to steam clean the carpet in there tomorrow. I feel we got so much accomplished, it feels good. I hope the momentum last!!!

One more thing, yesterday while A and I were out and about a song came on that T loves. It made me cry. I know that we are all excited about them going home but it is also sad in a way. It's been a long hard year but there were also great times too. I can and always will see Ts' smile when I think about her....OMG...tears right now....argh. This has been so hard.

This is a picture of K so tired she didn't even attempt to get in bed. She was playing one minute and out like a light the next. You can see how junky they kept the room. It was such a fight to get them to clean it. Believe it or not, this is actually not that bad.

When they leave to school tomorrow, I'll take a picture of the room now. It is starting to look like it use too....

Overnights....

My sister has graduated to overnight visits! I am beyond thrilled. The kids leave about 10am on Saturday and they come back btw 3-7pm on Sunday. So that means for one night a week it's just A, G and I....OMG!!!! I love it! It is wonderful. I was worried about G being so attached to Tiani but when she is gone he doesn't seem to notice. He is only 14 months so maybe her going home soon won't affect him too terribly. With that being said, you should see his face when he sees her Sunday. He just lights up, giggles and babbles to no end. He just can't get enough of her.
Tonight we tied my robe belt to a laundry basket and pulled him all over. And the girls were also giving him rides all over the house on their backs. He was all smiles. They truly love him and shower him with love and affection. I think Tiani is going to miss him a lot. But it is in their best interest to be reunited with their mother. It has been a long year, we are all ready.
The girls SWer is coming over Wednesday, hopefully she will give me more definite details as to when they will be going home. Right now, we have a dual placement order. This means the SWer can decide when the girls will go home, we do not have to wait until the next hearing which is in July. I heard from a little birdie that she is going to send them home in mid May.
Seems like A and I have been stressed lately and taking it out on each other. I hope when the girls go home things get better. I know we need some time with just us. It always seems like we are up against something, it's never smooth sailing for us. But with prayer and love we should be able to get through this.....thanks for listening.

an email I actually opened....

Sometimes I never get a chance to open all those forwarded emails. It's so time consuming. I have a horrible filtration system, I open my email find the ones that might actually be of importance and read them. Then I notice the 5-10 random emails from friends/family. I don't open them b/c I don't have time to read them. So I leave them....well after a couple of weeks just sitting unopened and unread I throw them in the trash. I figure it's old news or an old joke by then anyhow...bad I know but it's true.

Well today I actually opened one b/c the subject line read 'Motherhood'....something I can actually relate too, FINALLY. It was a good one so I have to post this...

What Do You Do All Day?
A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard.

The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened.

He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.

As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?' She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me, What in the world do I do all day?'
'Yes,' was his incredulous reply.

She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it.'

Andre and I have been married 8 years 9 months for 7 and a half of those years it was just him, Mason and I. I have to be honest, I didn't have all that much responsibility. I could come and go as I pleased. Andre is a very self secure and fend for himself kind of a guy. The type of guy that doesn't need a meal cooked every night. Although I love cooking for him b/c he never expects it. He also doesn't care if I clean. I used to be a clean freak but now I'm learning to relax about it a bit. I know he doesn't care b/c there have been days where I don't clean and the house gets messy. He never complains. He never complains about anything...well except my spending but I've been working on that...lol. Really I've been blessed he is a very easy husband. But I also believe he doesn't fully understand what it takes everyday to keep the house clean, laundry done, meals cooked, dishes done (after every meal), carpets vacuumed, dusting done, kids bathed, beds made...oh the list goes on. I read him this email...I thought it was spot on...hope you enjoy!

Swim class.

I've been taking G to the Y for swim class. He's really not that into reaching for the balls or kicking them but he is having fun 'jumping' off the side...hehehe. Last Friday A, K and T had the day off so they came to watch us. Of course A brought his camera. Hope you enjoy the pics of my little fish. I'm so glad he likes the water b/c I basically live in our pool during the summer.
