The twins....

have been officially adopted by their Aunt and Uncle. I have been given permission to post their pictures. :) They are truly where they belong, I'm just so glad that we were able to care for them the first 7 months of the lives.
This Sunday we've been invited by their Mom and Dad to church for their baptism. We are also going to their house for lunch afterward, should be a great time...I'm excited for them all!

These are a couple recent pics, we had a play date over spring break.

I'm back...

I can't believe I haven't posted since Sept. I went through a little funk and then bounced back by taking up inline speed skating. Over the years, I've tried various sports to keep myself busy but this is the winner! I love it. I've never felt so physical fit and being a part of a team is awesome! I love meeting new people and making new friends. And another plus is I'm hoping to get G involved next year, so this will be a sport we can do together.
I've been training since the weekend after Thanksgiving and I just competed in my first meet. Now first let me tell you that I used to compete 22+ years ago, so this sport is definitely not new to me, however the skates we use have changed big time. I use to compete on quads but now everyone competes using inline skates, which took some getting use to...look how long and big the wheels are...yikes. I'm in the Masters Division women age 30-44 years old, I fall somewhere in the middle of that age group...;) Anyhow, I'm proud to say that I won first place. Initially I was not going to compete but since the meet was at our rink I decided what the heck....well, now I think I have the bug. There is another meet coming up in the next few weeks just 30 minutes from here, so I may "just do it".
I raced in three races...a 3 lap, a 5 lap and a 7 lap.

One proud Mama, G does great on his skates for just turning 3. Next year, he'll practice with the team.

During our lunch break they put on music and let everyone skate. G was instantly surrounded by all the little girls on my team. The youngest speed skater is 4, she is adorable. What a stud!
